Abike Under Pressure: Nigerian Diaspora Affairs is a Mess!!!

Abike Dabiri has suffered a fresh attack after a video recording of her arguing with Journalist David Hundeyin in the case of Itunu Babalola’s death in Cote D’Ivoire on November 16, 2021 went viral.

Viewers of the show were left shocked seeing Abike shouting and cutting off the Journalist and the radio host- preventing them from asking her questions about the failings of her office in yet another  death of a Nigerian outside Nigeria. Hardly surprising, is it?

  1. Anyone who also saw a video 3 months ago of the Edo State ex -commissioner Osaze Ero telling Abike Dabiri of the over 300 Nigerians he saw rotting away in Italian prison without representation would not be surprised. Abike was on the video expressing her disbelief at the ex-commissioner’s claim and the Nigerians locked up unjustly in Italy. These are just 2 examples of the many of crass conduct from the CEO of Nigerian diaspora Commission.

The Nigerian Diaspora has an estimated population of over 10 million people. Diaspora remittances are essential to the survival of many Nigerians. Surprisingly too, the Nigerian diaspora wants to do more for their people back home and render more help in developing the Country. This is what NIDCOM was set up to do under Abike. But sadly, for almost 8 years, there has been no achievement of note in this regard. Her only swift action to date was when one of her “political associates” was manhandled in Indonesia.

Abike DABIRI has shown she has no belief in Nigerians to provide them the support they need outside of Nigeria. NIDCOM has only exported Nigerian dirty and corrupt practices abroad. Abike has not engaged with members, groups, or representatives of other Nigerian states in Diaspora. She has often been accused of tribalism, neglect, bias, and outright ineptness towards Nigerian citizens in diaspora without political connections.

She is the epitome of Nigerian failure, why she is still in her position is beyond belief.

Abike’s argument with the Journalist is the latest in a long line of mishaps for Dabiri, who has dominated all Nigerian diaspora concerns with shouting, insults, and a lack of emphathy.

For us normal Nigerians, this woman is a joke of our Country. An international embarrassment Buhari should quickly remove her from office.
