UK Protesters “We want our Country back”.
Let the Africans come into the Conversation- from a positive angle (Especially those from the UK ethnic minority who grew up in Africa before coming to live in England and have families here)
Ethnic Minority Facts in Britain.
History: It is not the history that matters but what we are doing today and for the future that counts. What can we do to help our families and friends now who are hungry and with no future at home due to bad governance. We travel overseas, UK, USA etc to work. The situation of today is we are hungry and deprived by our own governments and we come to England for a better life.
Economic Contribution: We know we contribute to the UK economy but the jobs we do here also help us provide for our families back home who experience hardship because of bad governance.
State of Our Home Today: Our friends at home are still worse off. We do not want to be sent back.
Africa’s Improvement: Most of us know it’s not the Western exploitation of African resources that is the main reason depleting our nations but the greed of our leaders to use the nation’s wealth for themselves. They have borrowed and put our countries into big debts for their personal use. Many would prefer for the west to help us police our African leaders properly, so they use our money for the people.
- Immigration, Complaints and Riots: If Nigerian leaders brought foreigners into our country now and treating them well, I am sure our people would complain too, but this is not the whole story. The Govt needs to listen to its citizens. Solve the problem. Rwanda money gone, border patrol money gone etc and the public are angry.
- English Friends & Inter-personal English African Relationship: Most of us have English friends and to be honest they have been nothing but helpful in our personal relationships. The British press does not highlight the relationship between Africans like us and our British friends. It might help them know that we are not angry, but, maybe in today’s world, we are somewhat grateful.
- Possibly Harder Life for Immigrants: Life will be made harder for immigrants here if we do not speak now. New rules will be passed that will affect the ethnic community more.
