This Super Eagles team are good. Young, fresh, mostly known guys, internationally
experienced and hungry. They are through to the last 16 of Afcon but Nigeria has only
scored 2 goals in this tournament so far and that is a concern. The defending champions
Senegal are through scoring 8 goals in the process and so too is pre-tournament favourites
Morocco, who have scored 5.
Senegal and Morocco have goals coming from everywhere and not just their strikers.
Equitorial Guinea right back Emilio Nsue Lopez has scored 5 goals and is the tournament’s
top scorer. The team needs to help Osimhen and be more adventurous. Let’s hope Nigeria
the three-time AFCON champions can go all the way this time, at least we would not be
adding to our bad record of not qualifying for the knockout stage like in 2015 &2019.
